Description
It's called "The Great White Way" because it was one of the first streets in New York City to be lit with electric lights. People continue to use this term today because of the millions of lights on the theater marquees and advertising billboards brighten up the night sky in a flashing white as well as a multitude of colors. It's always a feast for the eyes.
