Directly over the main entrance to the stadium stands the most familiar icon of the exterior of the ballpark: a large red art deco-style marquee, with "Wrigley Field, Home of Chicago Cubs" painted in white. The marquee was installed around 1934.
I can now check off another item from my bucket list, Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs. I can honestly say this is one of the most enjoyable stadiums to watch a game. The sight lines are wonderful, the fans are great, and the ivy covered walls are unique as well as the ionic red marque sign.
