Description
Sedona is a city that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley region of the U.S. state of Arizona. As of the 2010 census, its population was 10,031. Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations the most famous ones probably being Cathedral Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Bell Rock. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking.
Here we see the iconic image of Cathedral Rock reflecting in the Oak Creek. We had been Oak Creek State Park looking for this vantage point the previous day and couldn't find it. The next day we went back, asked the right person and it turns out we were 50 yards away from it the first day.
Most people don't know why it's called Cathedral Rock. If you use your imagination the two rocks in the middle are a bride and groom getting married in the cathedral.

You found the perfect spot! Clear water, lush greenery, and deep blue sky. Excellent landscape image. Your Sedona images are great. Wish mine even came close.
