3rd Place Winner in the Two of a Kind Contest
The "Make Way for Ducklings" statue, near Charles and Beacon Streets, appeals to grownups and children alike, and is the most popular sculpture in the Public Garden. It's also one of the top 10 Boston attractions.
Inspired by Robert McCluskey's book about Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their adventures while finding a safe place to hatch and raise their offspring in and around the Public Garden, the sculpture depicts Mrs. Mallard and her ducklings.
The eight ducklings are named Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack. But don't ask me to say which is which.
Boston-area sculptor Nancy Schön designed the bronze duck sculpture.

Hurrah for having your artwork chosen to be a featured piece on our homepage this week. You have many fine pieces in your portfolio of your works, and I am happy you chose this one to submit for possible featuring in our group on the homepage. It now has reached that goal of being featured in our group, a family of friends and fine artists of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Group. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment
