Description
1st Place Winner in the 10/2019 Spain and Portugal Vacations Contest
Park Güell was established by Eusebi Güell with Antoni Gaudí during 1900. Gaudí designed the park with the use of natural art elements out from the surrounding areas creating colourful sculptures and buildings. Park Güell was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for “Works of Antoni Gaudí” in 1984.
Unfortunately, the day we were there about 50 % of the park was closed for renovation and installation of new works. I still was able to photograph several of Gaudi's iconic pieces.
Here we see Gaudi's famous dragon/salamander fountain near the entrance to the park.

Great capture, Allen. I’ve learned, maybe you too, that even though we don’t get to see and photograph all that we’d like to, there’s still enough to be found by just looking around. Neat shot. - Mike (V)
