Description
The Middle Bridge in Woodstock Vermont may be one of the most photographed and painted icons in the state.
It is a Town Lattice type bridge 125' long, spanning the Ottauquechee River on Mountain Avenue, opposite the village green.
It is Vermont's newest authentic Town Lattice bridge, perhaps the only time a wooden bridge was built to replace an iron one (the former Union Street bridge, which had been condemned). Severely damaged by fire in 1974, restored by Graton in 1975 and 1976.
